Psychotherapy

for Individuals & Relationships

Through a warm, patient presence and gentle curiosity, I offer a soft and sturdy container within which you can explore a full range of feelings. Together, we’ll work to help you cultivate internal and relational security and peace. I hope to help you discover and move towards what nourishes, sustains, and enlivens you.

My worldview and therapy practice are shaped by principles of transformative, disability, and racial justice, queer theory, and body liberation. We will consider how systems of power shape your experiences, how power flows within our therapeutic relationship, and the limitations of psychotherapy given the violent structures we live in.  We may also explore how historical and generational trauma impacts your experiences and relationships.

Your emotions and experiences live in and move through your body, and paying attention to what happens in your body can increase your insight and agency. To support your body-mind-heart connection, we’ll integrate somatic and mindfulness practice into our work together. We will prioritize your choice, autonomy, and here-and-now needs. You are invited to offer feedback as we move through sessions so that I can be as attentive as possible to your needs.

I practice with a psychodynamic approach, meaning we will get curious about how your past has shaped your present. We will work towards identifying and understanding patterns and stories that have protected you, and practice shedding or shifting what no longer serves you. Collaboratively, we can create new narratives that bring you closer in touch with your strengths, purpose, and gifts.

We might be a good fit if you are:

  • feeling disconnected from yourself and your emotions

  • struggling to build, maintain, and/or deepen your relationships

  • involved in or recovering from complicated family dynamics

  • moving through a life transition and overwhelmed by uncertainty

  • seeking support with boundary setting and/or effective communication

  • stuck in codependent patterns and/or exhausting attachment cycles

  • struggling with emotional regulation

  • seeking to understand and heal your relationship to food, movement, and/or your body
